Is Kolom Writer really free?

Yes. Every writing feature is free. You need a free Kolom account, which activates the app and keeps it updated. Optional AI features may become part of a paid plan in future.

Can it open Microsoft Word documents?

Yes. Kolom Writer opens and saves .docx files, as well as Rich Text and plain text. Its own .kolom format keeps everything, including comments and tracked changes.

Which computers does it run on?

Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. Nothing else needs installing.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After you sign in once, Kolom Writer keeps working without internet for up to 30 days and renews its license automatically when you are back online.
